Films Telling The Story of This Moment

As the world went into lockdown starting in February and March in response to the global pandemic filmmakers around the world responded to this moment in unique ways. Throughout the Muslim majority world filmmakers produce what is generally uplifting commercials for Ramadan, of course this year many of these productions were shut down entirely, and producers had to get creative. As the world has started to open back up at the end of May and June Black Muslim communities have been on the frontlines of the Black Lives Matter protests throughout the US. Below is a collection of films produced over the last few months showing the global interconnectedness of this moment and unique local stories featuring Muslims from around the world.
